Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a couples and relationship therapist?

In my practice as a relationship therapist, my main focus is helping clients heal and find safety in their relationships.

When working with individuals, couples, and families, we are exploring their current and relational history to help them find fulfillment and connection in their lives.

  • What do I do when I am willing to attend couples therapy, and my partner is unwilling?

If you are desiring to address conflict or problems in your relationship, and your partner is unwilling, individual therapy can help you navigate and better understand what is happening in your relationship. While we would not be able to do couples therapy, if they are unwilling, we can equip you to gain a better understanding and relate to your loved ones in a healthier way.

  • How do I get started?

To get started, you can fill out the information form on the 'Get Started' Page, send an email to marqui@spaceandgracecounseling.com, or call/text at (972) 538-3583. We will then be reaching out to you to schedule your 15 minute free phone consultation.

Once you decide that you want to schedule, we will get paperwork sent over for you to complete, and then we will meet virtually on the day we scheduled for your initial session.

  • What is a consultation call?

A consultation call is where you are able to see if I would be the best fit for you. This is a place where you can ask questions about my therapeutic approach, pricing, and policies. I will ask several questions to see if I would be the best fit for you as well. Once fit is established on both ends, we would then discuss scheduling an appointment.

  • Do you take insurance?

I am an out of network provider, which means that insurance can not be used for therapeutic services. While I do not take insurance, I can provide invoices, that clients can submit for reimbursement. Clients are also able to use their HSA to pay for services as well.

  • Are you meeting with clients in-person?

All therapy sessions are being done virtually for the time being.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

In order to avoid the late cancellation or no show fee, a text, email, or call indicating your need to cancel or reschedule prior to 48 hours of the scheduled session qualifies as a cancellation. It is important that the therapist confirms the cancellation. Otherwise, if I have not confirmed the cancellation, it may not have reached me and you will be charged for that appointment.
